Harry Kane rounded off an incredible 2025/26 campaign for Bayern Munich with a hat-trick against Koln as the German champions ended the season with a big 5-1 victory. Things were pretty much done and dusted at the top of the table, certainly as far as the title was concerned. Bayern had made sure of the title some time ago, so a lot of the attention was on the foot of the table, where three clubs were locked together on the same number of points.
However, while some were focusing on the relegation battle and others on the race for European places, Kane was quietly doing what he has done all season: scoring goals. Lots and lots of goals. His club won the title by a massive 16 points (from Dortmund) and scored a scarcely believable 122 goals along the way. That was 51 more than any other side and an average of more than 3.5 per match.
Kane was responsible for 36 of those Bundesliga goals, representing almost 30% of his side’s total. His tally was equal to the players who finished second and third in the race for the Bundesliga Golden Boot. He only played in 31 games, too, registering a goal every 66 minutes that he took to the pitch. His five assists meant that he was involved in 41 goals in just 31 matches, all astonishing numbers.

Much was made of the fact that the former Spurs man had never won a team trophy before moving to Bayern. It became an even bigger deal when, rather amazingly, the German giants failed to win a trophy in his first campaign with the club in 2023/24. It was the first time that had happened since 2012. However, the England captain is certainly making up for lost time now.
He has landed back-to-back Bundesliga titles. The Germans fell in the semis in the Champions League, when many fancied them to go all the way, but there is no doubt that Kane and co will be back for more next term. England’s record goalscorer had won individual honours before moving to Germany, including three Premier League Golden Boots and the 2018 World Cup Golden Boot. And since joining Bayern Munich, he has won many more.
Individual Honours in Sensational Season

He has been the leading goalscorer in the German top flight every season since moving to Bayern in August 2023. That means he has now won that award three years in a row. He was crowned Player of the Season in 2024/25 and has won Goal of the Month and Player of the Month multiple times as well. He was named in several Bundesliga teams of the season in both of his first two campaigns with the club and will again, surely, be recognised in 2025/26.
In 2023/24, he was named in the Champions League of the Season and was the competition’s top scorer. He also won the European Golden Shoe after his debut campaign in Germany when he netted 36 goals. He missed out last term, with Kylian Mbappe’s 31 goals (62 points under the weighting system the competition uses) better than his 26.
However, he is set to win the prestigious award once again in 2025/26 and by some distance too. Kane’s race is run, with his 36 goals and 72 points leaving him well clear of the chasing pack. Mbappe is back in third on 48 points, with Real only having one more game to play. Erling Haaland, who won in 2022/23, has 26 goals (52 points), so he would need 10 goals in City’s final two matches. That, even for Haaland, might just prove a little much.
That will make Kane one of the few players to win the award more than once. Lionel Messi leads the way with six wins, with Cristiano Ronaldo second on four. However, England’s main man is set to join legends such as Eusebio, Gerd Müller, Thierry Henry and Robert Lewandowski in joint third with two wins apiece.
A Closer Look at 2025/26
In addition to his 36 goals in league football, Bayern’s star striker also notched another 22 for his club. Those came in the Champions League, the German Cup and the German Super Cup, with Kane scoring in every competition he played in.
| Competition | Games | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bundesliga | 31 | 36 | 5 |
| Champions League | 13 | 14 | 2 |
| DFB-Pokal (German Cup) | 5 | 7 | 0 |
| DFL-Supercup | 1 | 1 | 0 |
| Total | 50 | 58 | 7 |
We know what you’re thinking: “Come on, Harry, no assists in either of the cups? Poor show!” But we’ll forgive him that, with 58 goals and 65 goal involvements from just 50 games for Bayern proving to be an astonishing accomplishment.
He opened the league campaign with a treble against Leipzig on the 22nd of August and ended it with another hat-trick on the 16th of May against Koln. In between, he also hit three against Hoffenheim and Stuttgart, whilst he also struck six braces – all in the Bundesliga. In the Champions League, he netted twice on four occasions, doing so twice more in the German Cup.
In the Champions League, he scored in 10 of the 13 games he played in, while in the Bundesliga, he only failed to score in nine matches. A truly astonishing campaign – let’s hope he’s saved some goals for the World Cup!
